Every two years, Central is blessed to have The Master’s Singers enrich our service with their beautiful music.
“The Master’s Singers”  (TMS) was founded in September 2000 by the director, Muriel Wiebe, and a group of 7 men committed to growing  a male chorus in Calgary, Alberta.  They had no idea how fruitful the next 15 years of ministry would be.  The name, The Master’s Singers, represents men singing for their Master, the Lord Jesus Christ.
The attendance at their first rehearsal consisted of 12 men, a director and a pianist.  For the  2010-2011 season, TMS   membership consists of  65 members.  This is a unique group of men with varied backgrounds.  They love to sing, rehearse once a week, and believe that sacred music sung by men is very important in today’s society.  They also value the building and maintaining of friendships within the chorus.
Most months a Sunday is set aside for the chorus to join with a local church in or around Calgary for morning worship, assisting with that worship by singing a variety of songs.   TMS also presents concerts in varied venues throughout   Alberta.
The Master’s Singers previously appeared at the Epcor Centre’s Jack Singer Concert Hall, when it was invited to present a sacred concert for the Alberta 2005 Centennial Celebrations.
In 2010 – In celebration of our 10 year Anniversary, TMS presented a concert to a near sell out at Jack Singer concert Hall.
In addition to their CD, “Grace”, which was a 2008 Covenant Award Nominee for “Choir Album of the Year”‘
TMS were pleased to have recorded their third CD, ” I Will Sing”,  released in August 2010 as part of their 10th Anniversary celebrations.
Their 4th CD “He Keeps Me Singing”, was recorded  in May and released  September 2014.
“Tune Our Hearts To Sing”, their 5th CD, was recorded in May 2017 and released September 2017.
Members of The Master’s Singers believe their chorus provides a meaningful ministry in  Alberta.
